The Scotch Whisky export figures for 2025 have been published:
🚢 £5.36bn in value
🥃 43 bottles per second – a total of 1.34bn
Global value has decreased -0.6%, with global volume down -4.3% as a result of volatility in key markets, and cost and regulatory pressures here at home.
Most significant is the United States, which has seen a 15% volume decline since April last year, when a 10% tariff was imposed.
From our Chief Executive Mark Kent CMG: “Form is temporary, but class is permanent… the industry’s great resilience means that our long-term potential for continued growth is clear. To realise this future potential, finalisation of a deal to return zero-tariff trade to the US, vigorously pursuing trade deals with Thailand, Mercosur and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, and no further tax increases in the UK must be immediate priorities.”
