Our History
- 201101On 5th September 2011 ‘Brooks and Whitaker Limited’ trading as ‘Vintage Acquisitions’ was incorporated by Sam Brooks with a small office in Beckenham, Kent. He started to trade luxury drinks including, whisky, fine wine, Cognac, Port, Madeira and Rum, all in bottle format.
- 201202In 2012 the majority of his trading had migrated naturally to whisky as this was far out-performing all other luxury drinks.
- 2013032013: saw Sam move his operation to Farringdon, London, and start trading Scotch whisky casks.
- 201704Vintage Acquisitions were officially approved by HMRC and granted a WOWGR (Warehousekeepers and Owners of Warehoused Goods Regulations 1999).
- 201905Vintage Acquisitions move into their Blackheath, Greenwich office and start aggressively expanding their operations.
- 202006Vintage Bottlers Limited was incorporated. They are an award-winning independent bottler, searching for the very best whisky Scotland has produced, past and present. They bottle exceptional spirit from world famous distilleries as single cask expressions as well as blending our own favourite styles, offering them to our deserving clients. With 11 rare releases so far, 7 have been entered into the ‘World Whiskies Awards’ and 6 of those 7 releases were awarded gold and silver medals! Vintage Whisky Club Limited was also incorporated. They now have over 1500 members and have hosted hundred’s of exclusive events including, whisky tastings, distillery tours, Grand Prix meets, rugby internationals, horse racing meets, international golf competitions, to name just a few.
- 202107Vintage Acquisitions were granted a DNA Licence from HMRC allowing them to supply denatured alcohol in wholesale quantities. During this period Vintage Acquisitions were supplying tankers (33,000 litres) of ethanol to pharmaceutical companies within the UK, who were making hand sanitiser for the NHS, paramedics, police, care homes and many more who were in urgent need. November 2021: Vintage Acquisitions and The Vintage Whisky Group outgrow their split-level Blackheath office and move to an open plan office in Bermondsey, London Bridge, where they now have a team of 25 and more importantly, a fully stocked whisky bar!
- 202408Campbeltown Bond Limited is granted change of use and planning permission from Argyle and Bute Council and work commences on the 37,500 HMRC approved cask maturation warehouse.

Seamless experience
Whisky Cask Investment, our steps to success
We take the time to understand your reasons and requirements for investing in cask whisky and only then do we make calculated recommendations from a position of knowledge.
Honesty
Transparency of information flow coupled with honesty and integrity are at the forefront of what we do. We will only make a recommendation that is right for you and is based on both your objectives and your personal circumstances.
Experience
We are delighted to share our experience and market knowledge with our clients. We offer a very hands on experience with your whisky cask post-sale and can organise visits to see your cask, regular samples of your whisky and a wide variety of whisky experiences to suit your individual needs.
Outcome
With 90% of cask whisky bottled between the age of 3-12 years it naturally follows that 12+ years old whisky is in increasingly short supply. The quality of cask whisky dramatically improves naturally whilst becoming sought after and more valuable.
